Volts is challenge website dedicated to colorizations. Each round lasts for a month and there are always 3 challenges. My name is Petra and I am the owner. I previously owned a blend challenge site named Espoir. Unfortunately I had to close it a few years ago due to lack of time, dedication and inspiration. However, I have decided to give myself another shot and started Volts. The website is hosted by Rebecca at sailthesky.org, and thanks a lot to her for being so kind and giving me a chance.
Volts is slightly different from other challenge websites. I have developed an evaluation system for all the works, so if you submit an entry you'll know your exact score according to the scale. I am definitely not a master of colorizing, but I'll do my best to be as objective and open-minded about judging the entries as I can be. Very often I ask my friends who have nothing to do with web-design or photoshop to tell their opinion on the entries to get their unbiased point of view. Anyhow, all the entrants get their scores and the winners get my comments. I believe feedback helps people improve. You can't be perfect at it, and there'll always be room for improvement and I really hope that this website is going to challenge your skills and help you improve them.
